Modern Electronics and Sensors – A Q&A workshop
Wednesday, March 13, 2019 09:30 to 15:30
Veras Gräsmatta, Vera Sandbergs Allé 8
Do you work with sensors, built-in electronics or IoT systems and want to improve? Then “Modern Electronics and Sensors – A Q&A workshop”
This workshop will be built on your questions and interest in the subject. This will not be a lecture or ppt presentation, but rather a Q&A workshop. We will discuss examples of what is practically possible to build with modern electronics and sensors. An important aspect will be to look at how compact a circuit board can get and how much it costs to get it done. We will focus on what a startup company with modest resources can accomplish with the help of consultancy services available in Sweden.
The invited expert is Per Svensson, CEO of Monolitsystem AB, who has been prototyping sensor systems for all types of industry customers for thirty years. His special skill is to develop hardware and firmware for demanding sensor applications. Per has in-depth knowledge of micro and MEMS sensors, such as accelerometers and gyros, and he is currently participating in the development of a state of the art MEMS gyro with extraordinary specifications. Per is, however, not interested in more work for himself at this point 🙂
The agenda will be driven by your questions but is expected to cover the following topics:
- Built-in electronics
- Firmware
- Sensors: temperature, accelerometers, gyroscopes, magnetometers
- Sensor calibration
- Synchronization of sensors and data compensation
- Transmission of sensor data (IoT)
There will also be 2-4 thematic 30-min slots with Per on hardware/firmware/sensors. This will take place after lunch and you will have to register specifically for this. Per will then address those specific themes to a handful participants in each slot.
09:30 – 10:30 workshop
10:30 – 11:00 fika
11:00 – 12:00 workshop continued
12:00 – 13:00 lunch included for all participants
13:00 – 15:00 individual consultations (30 minute slots)
When: Wednesday, March 13.
Where: At Chalmers Ventures, Vera Sandbergs Allé 8.
Cost: The cost is 175 kr/participant (refundable up to 24h before the event) and includes a fika and lunch prepared by A’s Kitchen. Your registration will not be complete until you pay the 175 kr registration fee by Swish to: 123 470 1215.
Register for the event here latest on March 11.
