MORNING BOOST – A NEW DISRUPTIVE TECHNOLOGY FOR DECREASING ENERGY USE AND DECREASE THE CO2 FOOTPRINT

The mining industry uses about 4% of the world’s electricity to fracture rock ores into fine particles in order to liberate the valuable minerals. ARBS is a new technology that can redefine the industry by reducing electricity consumption by 80%, improving mineral recovery, reducing water usage and can be powered by renewable sources. The technology has solid theoretical foundations and the predicted performance has been verified in laboratory testing. The ongoing project is now focused on developing a 100 tph pilot mill that will be commissioned at an operating mine site. This mill will be designed and built in Sweden. The majority of the funding for the pilot mill has been secured from carefully selected global mining companies. Support by the Swedish Energy Agency (application under review) will enable more comprehensive research into the fundamental physics of the new process, facilitate greater collaboration with EU research organizations, and expedite project delivery.

Founder of Roctim AB 2007 and Comminution Reimagined Sweden AB 2019.

Co-founder of GCC – Global Comminution Collaborative which comprises Chalmers, University of Cape Town, University of Queensland, University of Rio de Janiero, University of Braunschweig and Hacettepe University (Turkey). GCC are specialized in minerals processing.
