Impact for climate. The global fish feed market is worth $60 billion – aquaculture is the world’s fastest-growing food industry, as the global population increases. 

 

Seaqure labs provides a sustainable mycelium ingredient alternative to fishmeal and soybean meal in aquaculture feed, preserving ocean fish populations as well as reducing the dependency on producing soy in the Amazon rainforest, while enhancing fish health with probiotic benefits. To do this, Seaqure labs have developed a proprietary fermentation technology utilizing Solid-state fermentation, as well as a method for the pre- and post-treatment of different sidestreams from the food and agri sector. Our fungi ingredient has already been proven to be healthy and prebiotic in lab trials on Rainbow Trout, and there are large opportunities to enter the Pet food segment as well as functional food ingredients in the future.
