Nordic Business Insider has compiled a list of 31 hot Nordic startups to watch in the coming year, by talking to a dozen venture capitalists making investments in the region and other insiders of the tech scene. The list includes companies founded in the last five years and are headquartered in Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The startups featured range from those that are just getting started, to some that have already landed major rounds and gained national exposure. All of the companies featured seem poised to do big things in the coming year.

We are happy to see one of our most exciting portfolio companies in the list – TRINE. With their crowdfunding platform for solar projects in developing countries, TRINE lets citizens speed up the transition to renewable energy. TRINE is now making some of the biggest crowdfunding campaigns within sustainability. Since its inception, the platform has raised more than €8 million while returning €900k to investors.
