You have probably heard about our new lunch seminar concept ‘Brown bag lunch’ already. Every Tuesday we gather people for a free and open for all lunch seminar with amazing speakers at Veras Gräsmatta between 12:00 – 12:45. Topics have covered everything from gender studies, current studies on hydrogen, culture of innovation, blockchain – among many other things.

Wednesday 20th of March: Sally Jones
Theme: “THIS CLASS IS NOT FOR YOU” – DOES THE WAY WE TALK ABOUT ENTREPRENEURSHIP HAVE GENDERED CONSEQUENCES?
Sally Jones is Reader in Entrepreneurship and Gender Studies at Manchester Metropolitan University’s Faculty of Business and Law. She is also co-head of the Sylvia Pankhurst Gender and Diversity Research Centre. Her research interests include feminist and critical approaches to entrepreneurship education, and the role of class and gender in the enterprise culture.
Tuesday 26th of March: Leif Denti
Theme: ”THE CULTURE OF INNOVATION: A LOOK BENEATH THE SURFACE”
Many say that innovation needs a promoting culture. Although this centainly is true, the concept of culture is fuzzy and abstract which makes it hard to grasp how one can change it. Leif Denti, who is a researcher in psychology at the University of Gothenburg, will during this talk bring the word culture down to earth and share a concrete way to understand what it is all about.
Tuesday 2nd of April: Malin Frithiofsson
Theme: ”GENDERED INNOVATIONS AND THE PROBLEM WITH LEANING IN”
Malin Frithiofsson is a gender- and global development major turned community manager and business developer in the tech-startup scene of Gothenburg. In this brown bag talk she’s compiled her experience from working at UBI top world ranked incubator Chalmers Ventures, with a scope of research on the effects of women’s lack of participation in technology and innovation, to ensure a better understanding of where we’re at, why we’re here, and why it needs to change.
