Glenntex

When we recycle plastic, it becomes weaker. Recycled plastic is rarely used in high performance applications because it is too weak compared to virgin plastic. Simply put, there is little incentive to use weak recycled waste – which is part of the reason we only recycle 33% in Europe.

Glenntex innovates and develops material solutions which improve the properties of polymers and post-consumer plastic. We are building a more sustainable relationship with plastic through improving the upcycling of waste plastic to reduce the need for virgin material, whilst improving product longevity. Using state of the art research developed at Chalmers University of Technology, our graphene-related innovation can make waste plastic more attractive for higher use applications including sports equipment and textiles. In short, we improve both performance and sustainability.

Compular

New battery technology plays an important role in the transition to more sustainable societies. Most green energy sources, such as wind and solar, depend on efficient energy storage. The same applies to the transition to an electrified transport sector.

Compular enables more efficient and innovative R&D practices of battery development by providing a groundbreaking analysis software. With Compular’s solution, molecular dynamic structures and arising properties can be simulated and analyzed in advance. This leads to more effective processes, shortened development cycles and the creation of more high performing and sustainable batteries.

Today, Compular is conducting pilot projects with key actors within the battery material industry and hope to validate how our solution is both commercially successful and leads to a more sustainable world.

If you (or anyone you know) want to get a glimpse of the future of material development, reach out to us and we will set up a demo

Palats Technology

Palats is the number 1 mobile app in Sweden for stocktaking of building materials and inventory. With Palats, materials and inventory are digitized so that they can be tracked and managed directly through your phone or computer. When it’s time to build, renovate or demolish, Palats makes visible what already exists and how the management affects both the economy and the climate. In this way, we ensure that the lifespan of the equipment is maximized and that unnecessary purchases are avoided.

By making circular material and inventory management simple and showing that it can be profitable, we aim to tackle the huge waste problem within the construction and real estate industry. Only in Sweden, the industry generates 10 million tons of waste annually, which accounts for 30% of Swedens’ total waste. This has to change!

Nyctea Technologies

The purpose of Nyctea Technologies is to increase the efficiency in the production of biological pharmaceuticals.

Antibodies, gene vectors and vaccines are effective treatments against a growing number of diseases. However, they are expensive to produce and slow to develop restricting global access to the best available pharmaceuticals. The main contributor to the cost of production, is the separation of the pharmaceutical compound from other biomolecules made by the cells during harvest.

Nyctea Technologies develops an electrode filter that can capture and release biopharmaceuticals by electronic signals. This enables a new and more efficient method of separation between biological molecules, which can increase the speed and control in development and production of life saving treatments.

The long-term ambition is to create the next generation digitalized and automated systems for every step in the biomedical industry, from production and analysis to diagnostics and drug-delivery.

EmbeDL

EMBEDL AB (EmbeDL) is a spin-off from the Horizon 2020 funded research project LEGaTO. The mission of EmbeDL is to commercialise its Deep Learning optimisation engine into a highly scalable service that makes DL-based AI affordable and energy efficient in embedded systems. The DL optimisation engine bridges the gap between data scientist, experts in AI algorithms, and computer engineers, experts in hardware.

EmbeDL has close connections to academic research, European industry and innovation ecosystem as well as well-established connections to venture capital.

SalesByte

Online retail is growing rapidly. At a staggering rate of 70% for the coming two years actually. The tougher and tougher competition make the customer service level drasticly more important. SalesByte supply a platform that enable the online retail businesses to provide a higher service level while not spending more time then today. This lead to more sales.

SalesByte is a cloud service that create a real time and virtual sales desk between the sales representant and the customer during commucation by e.g. phone or chat. SalesByte allow the customer to after the conversation get back to the information, at any time, to make the recommended purchase. SalesByte increase the possibility for the customer to make the right buy. But wait, it´s not only for online retail. Why not use is to follow up on physical store visits?

Vividye

As consumer demand for the latest beauty trends accelerates, the cosmetic industry becomes a fast paced environment. The industry faces significant sustainability challenges, particularly through the pollution of water sources with microplastics and harmful chemicals. Many beauty products may also contain harmful chemicals, including allergens and carcinogens, which can pose health risks and contribute to pollution.

At Vividye, we have developed a technology that adjusts pigment characteristics to create versatile and vibrant colors. With a successful background in textile coloring and printing, we have adapted our technology for the cosmetics industry, making it suitable for a wide range of make up and hair care products. This innovative approach enables colors to be easily tailored or modified, reducing environmental impact and decreasing the use of harmful substances. In other words, making it possible for all to shift to high performing, sustainable color technology.

Vitroprobe

Vitroprobe Analytics performs biomolecular analysis at the atomic scale to help design the pharmaceutical drugs of tomorrow. The development of new effective pharmaceutical drugs to fight disease is a slow and expensive process. Successful drug design relies on a profound understanding of the interactions between drug candidates and their target molecules in the body. The company has developed a unique platform to analyze target molecular structure in3D with simultaneous identification of individual constituent atoms. With the novel patented technique drug targets can be examined one atom at a time, thereby enabling fine-tuning of new pharmaceutical substances. The technology is the result of an interdisciplinary research program at Chalmers University of Technology.

Atley Solutions

Atley Solutions’ production module allows for an automated, standardised and reproducible production of astatinated radiopharmaceuticals. These pharmaceuticals are used in Targeted Alpha Therapy; a promising treatment method for disseminated cancer. The module will enhance clinical research in this field and is essential in order to enable the future treatment of cancer patients using this method. Targeted Alpha Therapy has the potential to improve and save millions of lives. For this to happen, Atley Solutions’ technology is needed.

Retein

A drop in the ocean doesn’t make any difference. Not until you realize that this drop corresponds to the fraction of water on Earth that is safe to drink. Removal of newly discovered pollutants such as microplastics and pharmaceutical residues require new ways to purify water. Or perhaps not? Retein develops water filters that harness the finest water purification process available in Nature, which is uniquely able to produce extremely pure water at low energy cost. Retein thereby aims to accommodate the needs of a billion people and industries alike by turning any source water into pure water in a cheap and environmentally friendly way.
