BUSINESS DEVELOPER FOR A STARTUP FACILITATING RNA-BASED THERAPEUTICS DEVELOPMENT

This is an exciting opportunity for you who wish to be responsible for the business development of a company that aims to make it easier for pharmaceutical R&D and academia to discover and introduce RNA-based drugs and RNA vaccines to the market. The company, Stealth Labels Biotech AB, holds two patent applications highly relevant for a currently rapidly growing branch of pharmaceutical industry. We are at the beginning of an exciting journey and are looking for the right person to join the team and bring this technology to the market.

THE TECHNOLOGY
The pharmaceutical industry is on the verge of a paradigm shift from small-molecule drugs to RNA-based therapeutics – a shift that promises to offer cures for a large number of diseases that are currently untreatable. What is critically lacking in this development is an efficient cell uptake of these drugs. To take the next step towards better efficiencies, an improved understanding of the uptake process is needed. It is in this arena our company portfolio will contribute, by providing conceptually novel fluorescence labeling technologies that, unlike existing technologies, do not perturb the intended function of the therapeutic. Our technology offers new exciting opportunities to study next-generation RNA-based therapeutics, including mRNA-vaccines, like the ones currently used against SARS-CoV-2 in order to improve their function and enable clinical translation.

PROJECT LEADER ROLE AND PROFILE
• Business development competence (benefit if within life science sector).
• Knowledge and network within the life science sector. Knowledge/experience in biochemistry, cell- and molecular biology, or similar life science discipline is merit.
• Sales experience (B2B).
• Funding and investment competence.
• Long-term interest in joining the company.

Form
Full-time/part-time employment or consultancy for 3-4 months. Thereafter, following acceptance to Chalmers Venture’s accelerator program and secured financing, a future role agreed upon with team.

Short-term goal
Project ready for Chalmers Ventures Accelerator program and pre-seed investment.
