2015-04-27
SUP46 (Start-Up People of Sweden) has this far focused their membership on startups that want to work from the office in central Stockholm. By launching a new type of membership, called Non-Resident Membership, they now let startups from all over the country apply to take advantage of the perks of the network. With a world-class ecosystem of partners, sponsors, investors and advisors, SUP46’s members have a competitive advantage to become Sweden’s next startup star. Apply here >
Startup hub SUP46 is a member-based community and meeting place in central Stockholm where 54 companies are currently working side by side in the 2000 square meter office. With the new type of membership, SUP46 is able to extend the ecosystem with more promising startups, without necessarily having to expand the office space. The process of becoming a Non-Resident Member is the same as for a regular membership and you have to meet the same criteria as the rest of the members. The company needs to be scalable and have the intention of taking over the world, while at the same time having a team with the right expertise and winning attitude.
– To extend our membership and take in promising startups outside of Stockholm is a no-brainer and we have been working for a while to find the right form for it. In our digital age exciting ideas and great companies can come from anywhere, to restrict yourself to one city would be very narrow-minded. We look forward to extending our ecosystem and including more startups in absolute top class. This really makes us the hub for the Startup People of Sweden, says Jessica Stark, CEO and co-founder of SUP46.
As a first step four startups have been accepted as Non-Resident Members, Qasa, Universal Avenue, Detectify and Kiliaro. Combined, these companies have already raised more than 33M SEK. Read more about SUP46 memberships here.
– We are very happy to be part of the natural meeting place for the Swedish startup community and proud to have been accepted as members by SUP46. We look forward to taking advantage of the knowledge and contacts that their network offers. It is going to be exciting to see where this can take us, given the expansive phase our company is currently in, says Rickard Carlsson, CEO and co-founder of Detectify.
