Brown Bag Lunch: Otto Lundman & Erik Dölerud, CEO & CTO / Co-founders of Modvion

Veras Gräsmatta, Vera Sandbergs Allé 8
WHY WOOD IS NATURES CARBON FIBER & THE BUILDING MATERIAL OF THE FUTURE
Why is wood the building material of the future and what needs to be done to get there? What impact does that have on wind power and what is it like to build 30 meter high prototypes of 150 meter high products?
Meet Otto Lundman, CEO and co-founder of Modvion and Erik Dölerud, CTO at Modvion who are on an entrepreneurial journey to reduce carbon emissions and at the same time build a sustainable venture.
Modvion designs demanding constructions in laminated wood – nature’s carbon fibre for large-scale construction. The technology enables radical emission reductions in construction by offering an cost effective alternative to emission intense materials such as steel and concrete. Modvion enables a six percent decrease in costs for wind power energy through module based wind turbine towers made by laminated wood. The module system makes for higher turbines and the material offers significant cost reduction and zero emissions.
